A painting for patriots

I did this painting some time ago. It helps to remember the long history of our people's fight for freedom and our troops' commitment to their mission - no matter how difficult - and no matter the personal cost.

So here's the painting and accompanying piece of poetry I did to recognize those sacrifices. I'm no poet, but I did the best I could.
